The GaSe-PVA based SA demonstrated potential for mode-locked operation in EDFL with a modulation depth of 6.4% and saturation intensity of 72 MW/cm2. The passively mode-locked operation achieved an output power of 29.1 mW, pulse width of 4.3 ps, and repetition rate of 8.849 MHz.

1：Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The GaSe-PVA SA was prepared by liquid-phase stripping method. The linear and nonlinear transmission spectrum, AFM, SEM, and Raman spectrum were used to characterize the SA.

GaSe powder (purity of
3：99% and particle size of 100 μm) was used. List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Equipment includes femtosecond lasers, PI TriVista 555CRS for Raman spectrum, FEI Quanta 250 FEG for SEM, Agilent 5500 for AFM, and YOLOGAWA AQ6370d for output spectrum.
4：Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The mixed solution was ultrasonic for 8 hours, stirred for 40 min at 3000 rpm, and dried at 60°C for 4 hours.
5：Data Analysis Methods:
The modulation depth and saturation intensity were obtained from the nonlinear transmission spectrum.
