A stable twelve-wavelength continuous Tm-doped fibre laser based on a novel device with a microfibre coil resonator incorporating black phosphorus has been successfully fabricated and demonstrated. The device combines a comb filter effect and a four-wave-mixing effect caused by the nonlinearity of black phosphorus, resulting in excellent performance with a channel spacing of 0.54 nm, an extinction ratio of more than 40 dB, and power fluctuation between channels of less than 1.6 dB.

The MCR-BP device was fabricated and characterized. It was then inserted into the fibre laser cavity, and the output spectrum was measured using the OSA.

The spectral characteristics of the resonator were analyzed, and the performance of the laser system was evaluated based on the number of wavelengths, channel spacing, extinction ratio, and stability.
