The SA exceeds its saturation point and bleaches beyond a pump power of 510.4 mW, thus not being able to provide further saturable absorption behaviour. This limit can be improved by manipulating the thickness of the MoWS2 film.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The MoWS2 nanosheets are prepared by hydrothermal exfoliation and suspended in a PVA thin film host. The Q-switched THDFL is constructed following a ring cavity architecture.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A 4-m-long TH512 Coractive THDF is used as the gain medium. A C-band Tunable Laser Source is used as a pump source.

Includes a Keopsys Erbium-doped Fibre Amplifier, a 1550/2050 nm wavelength-division multiplexer, a 2050 nm isolator, and a MoWS2 based SA.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The pump signal is integrated into the laser cavity through the 1550 nm port of a WDM. The output is analyzed using an oscilloscope, a photodetector, a radio-frequency spectrum analyzer, an optical spectrum analyzer, and an optical power meter.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The relationship between the pump power and the repetition rate and pulse width is monitored. The pulse energy and peak power are determined by taking the values of the average output power, repetition rate, and pulse width.
