研究目的
To design a layer 2 signature-based encoding and decoding system for short range wireless underwater optical communication protocol that can provide higher data rates compared to traditional acoustic systems with lower power consumption and simpler computational complexity.
研究成果
The proposed LED-based optical wireless communication system using a signature-based Morse code encoding protocol achieved above 90% transmission success rate in controlled conditions. Different LED colors affect transmission reliability, with green LED showing the highest success rate. The system offers a simpler, lower power consumption alternative to traditional acoustic systems for short-range underwater communication.
研究不足
The system's performance is affected by the distance between the transmitter and receiver, the color of the LED, and environmental conditions such as light interference. Future work includes testing underwater and using laser light sources for longer distances.
