研究目的
To review the evolution of electro-optical lithium niobate waveguides and discuss the advancements in reducing optical losses and power consumption while increasing EO efficiency.
研究成果
Lithium niobate remains a material of significant interest for both industry and research due to its robust and reproducible properties. Advances in fabrication technologies, such as ion slicing and optical graded icing, have enabled the development of more compact, efficient, and low-loss waveguides. The integration of nanostructures and photonic crystals offers promising avenues for further enhancing EO efficiency and reducing power consumption.
研究不足
The limitations include the trade-offs between light confinement and coupling losses with fibers, the complexity of fabrication processes for some waveguide types, and the challenges in achieving commercial performance levels with nanostructured waveguides.
