研究目的
Investigating the therapeutic effects of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in quasi long-pulsed mode on lichen pilaris.
研究成果
The micropulsed Q-switched Nd:YAG laser could be an effective treatment option for lichen pilaris, with improvement in the severity of the papules and shrinkage of the follicles observed. Further studies with a larger population are needed to confirm these preliminary results.
研究不足
The major limitation of this study is that only one patient was treated, making it impossible to generalize the results to all lichen pilaris patients.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in quasi long-pulsed mode to treat lichen pilaris.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A 33-year-old male with lichen pilaris on both upper arms was treated.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (MedLite C6, ConBio, US), black marker pen as an absorption enhancer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The lesions were irradiated with the Q-switched Nd:YAG at 1064 nm, 6 mm? spot size, pulse energy of
5:0 J/cm2, pulse width 300 μsec, and a repetition rate of 10 Hz. Twelve sessions were given every other week. Data Analysis Methods:
Digital photography, photomicroscopy, and 3D photography were used for gross observation, and skin biopsies were taken for histological comparison.
