1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
NGQDs were synthesized from a single glucosamine precursor via a hydrothermal method and treated with UV light at three different wavelengths (254, 302, 365 nm) for time intervals of 0 to 60 min.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Aqueous suspension of glucosamine-HCl was used as the precursor.

High-resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM JEOL JEM-2100), Horiba Scientific SPEX NanoLog Spectrofluorimeter, Cary 60 UV-Vis absorption spectrometer, Thermo Nicolet Nexus 670 FTIR, DeltaNu Raman spectrometer, NT-MDT nanosolver AFM, Anatech Hummer-VII gold sputtering deposition system, Keithley 2420 Source Meter.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
NGQDs were synthesized, purified, and then irradiated with UV light. Optical and structural properties were characterized before and after UV treatment. UV photodetector devices were fabricated and their performance was evaluated.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Absorbance and fluorescence spectra were analyzed to assess changes in optical properties. TEM and AFM were used to evaluate changes in size and morphology. FTIR and Raman spectroscopy were used to analyze chemical composition and structural changes.
