研究目的
Investigating the synthesis, structure, and optical nonlinearity of new silicate-germanates with lead.
研究成果
The study successfully synthesized and characterized two new lead silicate-germanates, demonstrating that the polar structure with single layers can be achieved by varying the alkali metal to lithium. The Li,Pb-silicate-germanate exhibits significant optical nonlinearity, attributed to the polar configuration of the silicate-germanate layers and the structurally active Pb-lone pairs of electrons.
研究不足
The study is limited to the synthesis and characterization of two specific silicate-germanates. The optical nonlinearity measurements are performed on polycrystalline samples, which may not fully represent the properties of single crystals.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Hydrothermal synthesis was used to grow single crystals of Rb2Pb2[(Si
2:67Ge33)2O7] and Li6Pb2[(Ge4Si6)O4]2(OH)The synthesis involved oxide and borate components in specific ratios, with Rb2CO3 and Li2CO3 acting as mineralizers. Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Single crystals were characterized using scanning electronic microscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Jeol JSM-6480LV scanning electronic microscope, Xсalibur S diffractometer, Brucker SMART APEX II diffractometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Synthesis was performed at 280-290°C and 80-100 atm in Teflon-lined autoclaves.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Single crystal structures were solved using SHELXL and SHELXS programs, with absorption corrections applied where necessary.
