研究目的
Investigating a novel method to modulate the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) by isotropically straining a polymeric substrate to induce reconfigurations of photonic nanostructures above the substrate for tunable SPR applications in color filtering or display.
研究成果
The work demonstrated a novel isotropic straining method of the PET substrate to modulate the nanostructures arranged above it, realizing a tunable SPR. This was achieved by straining the PET substrate from symmetrical four directions, generating isotropic expansion in a limited central region. Optical responses exhibited a color switch from blue to green, proving the effectiveness of the proposed straining procedure and the isotropic SPR modulation.
研究不足
The unexpected intensity in longer wavelengths due to damaged nanostructures during straining and the need for fabrication advancement to suppress this effect.
