研究目的
To investigate the consequence of fast neutron radiation on the band edge, localized states, optical constant, and dispersion parameters of CdS thin films.
研究成果
The diode laser irradiation affects the optical features of CdS films, leading to a decrease in transmittance, reflectance, absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, refractive index, and the value of the band gap energy. The FTIR-spectrum of CdS films showed no change in peak positions with increased irradiation times, only variations in peak sizes.
研究不足
The study is limited to the effects of diode laser irradiation on CdS thin films prepared by Spray Pyrolysis method. The findings may not be directly applicable to films prepared by other methods or subjected to different types of radiation.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
CdS thin films were deposited on glass substrates using the Spray Pyrolysis method. The influence of diode laser irradiation on these films was examined.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
The samples were irradiated by a diode laser pointer with a power of 500 mw and a wavelength of 532 nm at a distance of 10 cm from the source for various exposure times.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
UV-visible spectrophotometer (T70/T80 Series), FTIR spectra instrument, digital micrometer (Tesha Version).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The absorption and transmission spectrums were determined in the wavelength range of 190-1100 nm. The thickness of films was measured with a digital micrometer.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Optical parameters such as transmission, reflection, absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, optical band gap, refractive index, and complex dielectric constants were evaluated from absorbance spectra.
