研究目的
Investigating the probability of error performance of a detector array or an FPA receiver with Gaussian beams in free-space optical communications.
研究成果
The study concludes that for a fixed signal-to-noise ratio and receiver size, the probability of error can be significantly minimized with an array of smaller detectors instead of using a single large detector, especially under poor signal-to-noise conditions. However, the improvement in probability of error diminishes as the number of detectors increases, and the system incurs higher computational and hardware complexity.
研究不足
The study is limited to theoretical analysis and simulations under idealized conditions. Practical implementation may face challenges such as hardware complexity and computational overhead.
