The study demonstrated that dual-pump degenerate one- and three-mode PS architectures in a dispersion-engineered parametric mixer can achieve signal multicasting with ultra-low noise performance. The three-mode operation showed a record low noise figure of 1 dB and a 2-dB BER sensitivity improvement over the one-mode operation, confirming the superiority of the multi-mode PS architecture.
