研究目的
Investigating the efficacy of intravaginal Er:YAG laser therapy in treating female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and mixed urinary incontinence.
研究成果
Intravaginal laser therapy is effective for grades I and II SUI but not for severe SUI. At least three laser sessions at 1-month intervals are recommended for better outcomes. The treatment does not need to be repeated within 2 years. Further randomized controlled studies are needed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of energy-based devices for SUI treatment.
研究不足
The study lacks comparison with other treatment modalities such as pelvic-floor muscle training or surgical procedures. The number and duration of treatment sessions and the maintenance regimen remain largely arbitrary. Follow-up duration varies considerably.
