研究目的
Investigating the photocatalytic degradation and mineralization of ciprofloxacin (CIP) using black Ti3+/N-TiO2 under visible LED light irradiation.
研究成果
The b-N-TiO2/LED process demonstrated high efficiency in the degradation and mineralization of CIP under visible light irradiation, with significant reduction in toxicity. The process is energy-efficient and the photocatalyst is stable and reusable.
研究不足
The study did not explore the scalability of the b-N-TiO2/LED process for industrial applications. The effect of real water matrices with complex compositions on the degradation efficiency was not fully investigated.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study employed a simple impregnation and an in situ chemical reduction approach to prepare b-N-TiO2 nanoparticles. The photocatalytic activities were assessed via the degradation and mineralization of CIP under visible LED light irradiation.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
CIP was used as the model contaminant. A stock solution of 500 mg L?1 was prepared from CIP for weekly use.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
HPLC-grade water, methanol, ethanol, acetonitrile, and formic acid of high grades were used. All other chemicals were of analytical grade.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The photocatalytic degradation tests were performed in a cylindrical plexiglass photoreactor with a volume of 400cc. The solution was stirred in the dark for 0.5 h to reach adsorption/desorption equilibrium before exposure to light.
5:5 h to reach adsorption/desorption equilibrium before exposure to light. Data Analysis Methods:
5. Data Analysis Methods: The CIP concentration was determined through HPLC. The degradation rate was calculated using a pseudo-first-order kinetic model.
