Through controlling the Na incorporation amount in the solution, a single phase kesterite CZTS with optimized condition can be achieved. The optical band gap of the optimal CZTS film is 1.24 eV. All samples show p-type conduction behavior.

The study focuses on Na incorporation up to 3% atomic ratio; higher concentrations may have different effects. The use of 2-methoxybutanol as a solvent may limit comparison with studies using other solvents.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Incorporation of Na into CZTS films by sol-gel method using 2-methoxybutanol as a solvent. Different Na/(Cu+Zn+Sn) atomic ratios (0%-3%) were employed.

Copper (II) acetate monohydrate, zinc acetate dihydrate, tin chloride (II) dichloride, sulfur urea, 2-methoxybutanol, and NaOH.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The solution was stirred at 60℃, aged at room temperature, spin-coated on glass substrates, and heated at 200℃ for 10 min and then at 560℃ for 1 h in argon.
