To evaluate the antibacterial efficacy and depth of action of a novel clarithromycin-containing triple antibiotic mixture (3-MIXC) compared with the traditional triple antibiotic paste (3-MIX) and double antibiotic paste (2-MIX), vehicled with hyaluronic acid (HA) or macrogol gel (MG), for root canal disinfection in dental pulp regeneration.

The 3-MIXC mixed with HA appears to be a viable alternative for root canal disinfection during regenerative endodontic procedures, offering comparable antibacterial efficacy and depth of action to traditional TAPs without the risk of tooth discoloration. The use of HA as a vehicle enhances the antibacterial properties of the antibiotic mixtures.
研究不足
The study is an in vitro model, which may not fully replicate the clinical conditions of root canal infections. The use of E. faecalis as the sole pathogen may not represent the polymicrobial nature of endodontic infections.
