1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
The study employs a solvent-free method for the synthesis of hierarchically porous ZSM-5 zeolite from IOTs, using 1,6-hexanediamine as a single template via in situ crystallization.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
Iron ore tailings (IOTs) were collected from Kuancheng, Chengde (Northeastern China), and processed by grinding, roasting, acid leaching, filtering, and drying before use as material.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials
Materials include sodium aluminate (NaAlO2), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), sodium carbonate decahydrate (Na2CO3·10H2O), and 1,6-hexanediamine (HDA) obtained from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent. Equipment includes an Ultima IV diffractometer, JSM-6701F SEM, TF20 TEM, Nicolet IS10 FTIR spectrometer, and Micromeritics ASAP 2460 for BET surface area analysis.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
Pretreated IOT was mixed with NaAlO2, HDA, and Na2CO3·10H2O in a rotating mortar, then transferred to an autoclave for heating. The solid sample was collected, washed, dried, and calcined.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Characterization techniques included XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR spectroscopy, and nitrogen adsorption for BET surface area analysis.
