研究目的
Investigating the structural, optical, and luminescence properties of erbium doped lithium bismuth boro tellurite glasses for optical fiber applications.
研究成果
The prepared erbium doped lithium-bismuth-boro-tellurite glasses exhibit promising properties for optical fiber applications, including high gain, effective band width, and stimulated emission cross section. The glasses are amorphous, thermally stable, and show potential for efficient broad band amplifiers.
研究不足
The study is limited to the characterization of erbium doped lithium bismuth boro tellurite glasses and their potential for optical fiber applications. The experimental conditions and material compositions may limit the generalizability of the findings.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study employed melt-quenching technique for glass preparation and characterized them using XRD, DSC, UV–Vis-NIR, Luminescence, and Decay techniques.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Glasses with composition 25Li2O-15Bi2O3-(45-x) B2O3-15TeO2-(x) Er2O3 (where, x = 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2 mol %) were prepared.
3:1, 5, 1 and 2 mol %) were prepared.
List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
3. List of Experimental Equipment and Materials: Digital Abbe refractometer, Archimedes principle for density measurement, X-ray diffractometer, DSC instrument, FTIR spectrometer, UV–Vis-NIR spectrophotometer, and luminescence spectrometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The glasses were prepared using melt quenching method, characterized for their physical properties, amorphous nature, thermal stability, and optical properties.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Judd-Oflet theory was used for optical parameters, and McCumber’s theory for absorption and emission cross sections.
