The study successfully demonstrated the preparation of Cu2O:Na/ZnO heterojunctions via a simple two-step electrodeposition method. Na doping significantly improved the electronic, morphological, microstructural, optical, and electrical properties of the heterojunctions, making them suitable for photovoltaic applications. The heterojunctions exhibited excellent rectifying behavior and a high rectifying ratio, indicating their potential for use in solar cells.
