Investigating the enhancement of current density in anatase TiO2 nanowire arrays through interface connection modulation in flexible quantum dot sensitized solar cells.

The introduction of small size of nanoparticles and heating pressure process effectively improved the interface connection and charge transfer property in flexible CuInS2/TiO2 NWs QDSSCs, leading to a significant enhancement in photovoltaic conversion efficiency from 2.55% to 3.90%. The solar cells also exhibited excellent reproducibility and stability under curving and curling conditions.

The study is limited by the technical constraints of the hydrothermal process and the application of heating pressure, which may not be scalable for industrial production. The optimization of nanoparticle size and concentration for band energy modulation also presents challenges.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
TiO2 nanowire arrays films were prepared by hydrothermal process and transferred onto PEN/ITO substrates with TiO2 slurry by introducing small size of nanoparticles and heating pressure process.

Titanium foil, TiO2 nanoparticles, and other materials were purchased from Alfa-Aesar.

FESEM for morphology observation, UV spectrophotometer for UV-vis absorption spectra, photoluminescence spectra for charge separation property, Keithley 4200 for photovoltaic conversion efficiency measurement.
