研究目的
To compare the efficacy of microneedling combined with PRP with that of Fractional Er: YAG laser in treating post-traumatic atrophic scars.
研究成果
Both fractional lasers and micro needling are comparable, effective, and well tolerated methods for treating post traumatic atrophic scars. Microneedling was proved to be more effective when used with PRP than used alone, but it needs more frequent sessions to achieve optimal effect and reaching similar efficacy to fractional lasers.
研究不足
Being not a split scar study and one month follow up are the main limitations of this study.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study was designed as a single-blinded randomized comparative study. Patients were subdivided into three groups for different treatments.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
45 patients with post traumatic atrophic scars were included.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Automated microneedling device (Dermapen 3?), Fractional Er: YAG laser 2940 nm (Fotona XS Dynamics, Slovenia), PRP preparation materials.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Group I and II underwent microneedling with PRP for 4 and 6 sessions respectively, Group III underwent Fractional Er: YAG laser for 4 sessions.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Clinical and histopathological assessments were made using Quartile Grading Scale and histopathological stains respectively.
