研究目的
To describe a combination of neodymium:yttrium-aluminium-garnet 1064-nm laser emission and injection of 75% dextrose solution to treat lower limb reticular veins, known as cryo-laser cryo-sclerotherapy (CLaCS), and report preliminary outcomes.
研究成果
The combination of laser and mild sclerosant allows a satisfying vessel elimination while minimizing possible complications. Preliminary outcomes show ecchymosis in up to 30% of cases and intravenous thrombus in 14%. A satisfactory vessel elimination is found in 86% of cases. No improvement or worsening was reported in 14% of patients.
研究不足
The study reports preliminary outcomes and lacks a proper randomized comparative trial vs sclerotherapy or laser alone. The Score 9-1 has not yet been validated and published in an indexed journal.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study describes the use of neodymium:yttrium-aluminium-garnet 1064-nm laser pulses followed by 75% dextrose injection in the vessel previously damaged by the laser absorption.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A series of 1064-nm neodymium:yttrium-aluminium-garnet laser pulses are directed toward the vessel, followed by 75% dextrose injection.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Neodymium:yttrium-aluminium-garnet 1064-nm laser, 75% dextrose solution, 27-gauge needles, and 3-mL syringes.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The energy emission setting is a fluence of 50 to 70 J/cm2, a 6-mm spot size, and a 15-millisecond pulse duration. Both the laser and the sclerotherapy treatments are performed using visualizers emitting an infrared light.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Photographic documentation is considered mandatory.
