研究目的
To produce thin amorphous WO3 films by room-temperature PLD using metallic targets and study the effect of the nature of the substrate and oxygen pressure during the film growth process on the structural, optical, electrical, and electrochromic properties of the films.
研究成果
Amorphous WO3 films grown by PLD on substrates maintained at room temperature possess electrochromic properties in a wide spectral range. The optimal oxygen pressure for producing amorphous tungsten oxide films with dielectric properties is 60 mTorr. The films' transmission and band gap increase with oxygen pressure, and they become dielectrics at an oxygen pressure of 60 mTorr. The first liquid-electrolyte electrochromic cell fabricated using these films shows a change in transmission from 70% in a bleached state to 40% in a colored state at an applied voltage of 2.5 V, with a coloration time of 2 min.
研究不足
The study is limited to the effects of oxygen pressure and substrate nature on the properties of WO3 films grown by PLD at room temperature. The potential for optimization in the fabrication process and the exploration of other substrates or conditions are not addressed.
