研究目的
To mitigate the degraded sensitivity on the retrieval of ground deformation azimuth shifts of 1-look TOPS acquisitions by proposing the 2-looks TOPS mode.
研究成果
The 2-looks TOPS mode represents the most evolved burst-mode acquisition overcoming the drawbacks of ScanSAR and the low sensitivity to the azimuth displacement provided by the 1-look TOPS mode. Experimental results show the suitability of the mode also for scenarios experimenting slow displacement in the along-track direction.
研究不足
The azimuth resolution is strongly worsened with respect to the conventional StripMap mode due to the burst operation mode.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The 2-looks TOPS mode is designed to observe every target on ground two times within a data take by exploiting the rotation of the antenna.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Experimental TerraSAR-X data takes have been commanded over different sites, including the Petermannglacier, Greenland, and Balochistan, Pakistan.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
TerraSAR-X system.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The beam is switched cyclically in elevation to achieve wide coverage, and the antenna steering is used to record each target twice observed by two separated Doppler frequencies.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The time-series have been processed to estimate the mean azimuth velocity using the periodogram operator applied to the multilooked spectral diversity phases.
