To propose a new protocol for quantum key distribution (QKD) that is a variation over the BB84 protocol and compare its performance with BB84 in terms of capacity and error estimation.

The proposed protocol is far better than the BB84 in terms of capacity and error estimation. The final key is generated using the concatenation of two keys, and there are possibilities for combining two keys in other ways also, i.e., multiplying two keys instead of adding them. The future work can be done with altering the B92 protocol with same proposed scheme and then comparing their performance.

The simulation is limited to DOS environment and C++ language. The comparison is based on capacity and error estimation only.
