研究目的
Investigating the electronic spectra of graphene nanostructures in the far- and deep-ultraviolet region to understand the influence of morphology and electronic structure on their optical properties.
研究成果
The study successfully measured the electronic spectra of graphene nanostructures in the FUV-DUV region, revealing a new peak in the FUV region. The spectral differences between flakes and nanoplatelets were attributed to differences in morphology and electronic structure. Quantum chemical calculations provided insights into the molecular orbitals involved in the observed transitions.
研究不足
The study is limited by the sensitivity level of the experimental technique, which is not adequate for the measurement of a single layer graphene. The molecular models used in the quantum chemical calculations are simplistic and may not fully capture the complexity of real graphene nanostructures.
