研究目的
Investigating the high efficient blue phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) based on exciplex and ultrathin Firpic sandwiched layer, focusing on the dependence of the electroluminescence (EL) performance on the ultrathin Firpic layer thickness.
研究成果
High efficient blue PHOLEDs with the specific architecture (mCP/ultrathin Firpic/TmPyPB) were realized, demonstrating optimal power efficiency (PE) of 50 lm/w and external quantum efficiency (EQE) close to 18%. The study provides a simple method for achieving high efficiency blue PHOLEDs, beneficial for future OLEDs application by simplifying fabrication procedures.
研究不足
The EL efficiency of the PHOLEDs showed strong dependence on the sandwiched Firpic layer thickness, deteriorating remarkably with increasing Firpic layer thickness from 0.3 to 1nm, attributed to intensified Dexter-transfer-based triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA).
