研究目的
This study examines the application of photoelectrooxidation in the degradation of cyanotoxins (microcystins).
研究成果
The photoelectrooxidation system under test was effective for the degradation of cyanotoxins, with a reduction rate reaching 99%. Electrical current and UV radiation were directly associated with toxin degradation. The synergistic effect of combined oxidative processes was confirmed, and the use of a supporting electrolyte was found not to be necessary for degradation. Photoelectrooxidation seems to be a promising process for the treatment of public supply waters.
研究不足
The study does not discuss the scalability of the photoelectrooxidation system for large-scale water treatment applications or the potential formation of harmful by-products during the degradation process.
