研究目的
To evaluate the repeatability of retinal layer thickness measurements in normal eyes imaged using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).
研究成果
Excellent repeatability was observed for SD-OCT retinal segmented layer thickness measurements in healthy subjects, indicating high reliability of the measurements.
研究不足
The study was conducted on normal eyes only, and the repeatability and reproducibility of measurements in eyes with retinal diseases were not evaluated. Additionally, the study did not assess the impact of patient compliance and fixation stability on measurement accuracy.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Imaging was performed 4 times using 9 × 9 mm macular scans with SD-OCT (RS 3000 Advance HD OCT, NIDEK, Gamagori, Japan) at the same visit by an experienced examiner. After automatic retinal segmentation (layering) in 5 layers, the thickness of each layer was calculated.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Sixty-eight eyes of 34 healthy subjects were enrolled in this study.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
SD-OCT (RS 3000 Advance HD OCT, NIDEK, Gamagori, Japan).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Imaging was performed 4 times using 9 × 9 mm macular scans with SD-OCT.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Repeatability for each of the 9 subfield areas was calculated by their repeatability coefficients and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs).
