研究目的
Determining the atmospheric Linke Turbidity index from solar radiation measurements in Mexico and comparing it with worldwide values provided by Meteotest.
研究成果
The monthly Linke turbidity index values were obtained for 3 validated stations from SMN using the ESRA model. The experimental values were compared with the worldwide Linke turbidity dataset of SODA services, showing agreements in most cases but with some significant differences. The mean difference between SODA service values and experimental values is approximately 10%, with a maximum of 30% for January in CDCCA station.
研究不足
The study is limited by the lack of calibration procedures for the sensors used in the EMAs stations, and the selection of clear days is based on visual inspection of solar radiation graphs, which may introduce subjectivity.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The ESRA clear sky model was used to determine the Linke turbidity index by adjusting the index value that gives the smallest difference between the model and the measured irradiances. Clear days were identified from the solar database of selected stations.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Solar radiation data were obtained from validated EMAs stations of the National Weather Service (SMN) in Mexico, each equipped with a Kipp & Zonen global radiometer.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
CMP11 Kip&Zonen pyranometers were used for measuring global solar irradiance.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The turbidity index was obtained for selected stations using the ESRA model, with turbidity values ranging between [1.1 -7.0] with a step of 0.1. Clear days were determined from solar radiation graphs.
5:1 -0] with a step of Clear days were determined from solar radiation graphs.
Data Analysis Methods:
5. Data Analysis Methods: The turbidity value obtained from measured data was averaged with the clear days of the corresponding month for each station and compared with the turbidity index obtained from SODA web page.
