研究目的
Investigating the optical properties of dielectric material at noble metal core-shell nanoparticles to understand the enhancement and tunable optical properties in the visible to near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum.
研究成果
The study demonstrates that coating a dielectric material core with a thin noble metal shell can significantly enhance and tune the surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) wavelength from the near ultraviolet to the near infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. This tunability is achieved by varying the shell thickness and the type of noble metal used. The findings suggest potential applications in plasmonic nanolasers, nonlinear plasmonic antennas, light trapping in thin-film organic solar cells, and biomedical research.
研究不足
The study is theoretical and does not involve experimental validation. The practical application of the findings may require further experimental studies to confirm the tunability and enhancement of optical properties in real-world scenarios.
