研究目的
Investigating the performance of Antimonides type-II superlattice (T2SL) based infrared photodetectors using the barrier infrared detector (BIRD) architecture.
研究成果
A T2SL LWIR BIRD FPA can operate at significantly higher temperatures due to the suppression of G-R dark current. The resonator pixel concept offers an effective solution to increase quantum efficiency, and hybridizing the detector array with a high-dynamic range DROIC can further improve performance.
研究不足
The spectral responses of the initial nBn devices do not cover the full MWIR atmospheric transmission window, and there are stringent requirements for designing nBn IR detector structures.
