研究目的
To review the status of CISe-/CIGSe-based thin-film PV technology, focusing on the absorber material, and discuss different fabrication methods, their merits/demerits, and suitability to large-scale production.
研究成果
Significant progress has been made in CIGSe absorber-based solar cell technology, with continuous increases in cell and module level efficiencies. The highest device efficiency is 22.8%, with optimism about reaching 25% in the near future. Further improvements can be achieved by innovative approaches such as overall crystallinity improvement, bandgap engineering, surface passivation, and use of higher bandgap material as heterojunction partner.
研究不足
The technology is yet to mature fully with scope for improvement in efficiency, manufacturability, and cost reduction. There is ambiguity about critical aspects like chemical and electronic nature of defects, their origin, and relationship with processing parameters.
