研究目的
Investigating the dynamic feature of FSO-based fronthaul/backhaul networks, including the fragile links under adverse weather conditions and the dynamic traf?c demands among small cells, and proposing topology recon?guration to dynamically rearrange the FSO links.
研究成果
The study demonstrates that FSO-based fronthaul/backhaul framework presents new features in 5G+ wireless networks. Proactive topology recon?guration and reactive recon?guration are effective in different environments. The heuristic greedy algorithm GMB presents the optimal topology to improve the network throughput and reduce the cost. Reactive algorithms RTRLF and RTRTE can improve network performance when link failures and traf?c events are detected.
研究不足
The study assumes that the variation of link reliability is rare and that link interruption does not occur frequently. It also assumes that there is only one exigency demand exists during one period.
