研究目的
To evaluate and select an effective error term for resolution improvement in high sampling rate based on ASC’s SNR as an index and to demonstrate preliminary experimental result for the pursuit of the ideal condition by improving intensity noise of optical sampling pulses to the usual shot-noise limit.

The study surfaces that an input noise could be dominant in the contribution to ADC’s SNR under the ultra-low timing jitter condition of optical sampling. Preliminary experimental results show successful improvement of intensity noise of 10 GHz optical sampling pulses to the usual shot-noise limit.
