To address the problem of the uneven power distributions in the conventional DLP rectennas by employing a hybrid coupler to connect a DLP antenna and a modi?ed Greinacher charge pump (GCP), maintaining a stable high RF-to-dc power conversion ef?ciency (PCE) irrespective of the polarization tilt angle.

A hybrid coupler is used to address the uneven power distribution problem of the conventional DLP rectenna when the polarization tilt angle between the direction of LP incidence and VP direction of the DLP antenna is not 45°. Both theoretical analysis and experiment validate the proposed power distribution scheme for maintaining high ef?ciency of the DLP rectenna. A stable high RF-to-dc PCE for any polarization tilt angle is achieved, which makes the proposed scheme suitable for high-ef?ciency WPT applications.
