研究目的
To report the dry and wet synthetic procedures and characterization by Raman spectroscopy of amorphous arsenic sulfide reference pigments, and to present and discuss reference spectra of amorphous materials obtained by wet process methods and dry process references of amorphous arsenic sulfide pigments of known composition.
研究成果
The study successfully characterized amorphous arsenic sulfide pigments through Raman spectroscopy, providing reference spectra for both dry- and wet-process materials. The satellite bands in the Raman spectra offer insights into the materials' composition and preparation conditions. The research enhances the understanding of amorphous arsenic sulfide pigments in historical art materials and their manufacturing processes.
研究不足
The study acknowledges that the spectra obtained on homogeneous laboratory-synthesized amorphous arsenic sulfides may not fully represent those found in works of art, especially when the pigment is found in small quantities or mixed with other pigments.
