研究目的
To review and classify the most recent scientific contributions related to the application of infrared thermography in the industrial context, with a special emphasis on induction motor-related applications.
研究成果
The paper concludes that infrared thermography has seen a spectacular development in its applications to rotating electrical machines, opening new prospective fields. However, some important issues remain, such as the lack of objective temperature alarm thresholds, the need for advanced algorithms for automatic interpretation of IRT results, and the necessity of auto-calibration systems and proprietary platforms for integration of novel methodologies to improve diagnosis.
研究不足
The paper discusses the limitations of infrared thermography, including the high cost of instruments, inability to detect inside temperature if the inspected object is separated by a non-transparent medium for IRT radiation, and the need for expertise and knowledge to evaluate the results.
