研究目的
To create a first functional version of a VCO and a one channel transceiver MMIC for automotive applications in the band around 76 GHz, enabling the construction of multipurpose radar systems with a variable number of transceivers and MIMO architectures.
研究成果
The paper presents two SiGe MMICs operating at 3.3 V, with the VCO-MMIC offering a 5 GHz frequency tuning range and the transceiver MMIC containing a complete transmit and receive chain at 76 GHz. Functionality of the transmit chain was proven, with plans to investigate the receive chain in future works and to present improved versions of these MMICs.
研究不足
The receive chain of the transceiver MMIC could not be verified with measurements due to the dense padframe not allowing on-wafer measurements. The system's output power is inferior compared to other publications, indicating room for improvement in further iterations.
