1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the preparation of PMMA-based composites containing KGd(WO4)2:Yb3+/Er3+/Tm3+, KGd(WO4)2:Yb3+/Tm3+, and KGd(WO4)2:Yb3+/Er3+ powders using a solution-mixing method. The vibrational properties were investigated using μ-Raman spectroscopy, and up-conversion luminescence was measured under 980 nm excitation.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
The samples were prepared by incorporating rare earth doped KGd(WO4)2 powders into PMMA matrix. The powders were synthesized using the modified Pechini method.

Renishaw InVia Raman microscope, Ar laser (488 nm), IR laser diode (980 nm), double monochromator, photon-counting system, Zeiss LSM 780 system with tunable infrared femtosecond laser.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The Raman spectra were recorded in back-scattering geometry. The up-conversion luminescence spectra were measured under 980 nm excitation, and luminescence maps were created to analyze the distribution of luminescence.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The Raman spectra were analyzed using software packages WiRE 3.4/Renishaw. The up-conversion luminescence spectra were analyzed to determine the mechanisms of photon activation during the up-conversion process.
