研究目的
To present a new FSS element, printed on a fully coated glass of a vehicle, able to reduce the attenuation of the RF/microwave signals over the [640MHz – 3.3GHz] frequency band and to investigate the effect of this FSS unit-cell on the ?eld distribution inside the vehicle.

The proposed FSS unit-cell offers less than 10dB of attenuation for the [640MHz-3.3GHz] frequency band and is characterized by its stable behavior even when it is illuminated with an oblique angle of incidence up to 70? in both TE and TM polarizations. It permits to reduce the attenuation of the electric field inside the vehicle in both polarizations.

The performance of an FSS element is highly sensitive to the number of unit-cells arranged in the array. The assumption of the unit-cell being placed in an infinite periodic array is far from the reality, especially in the case where the number of FSS elements on a vehicle should be reduced.
