研究目的
Investigating the luminescence spectra of free argon nanoclusters to understand the structural transformations and emission characteristics of neutral and charged excimer complexes.
研究成果
The study presents a new approach for investigating the integrated band intensities in luminescence spectra of argon clusters, showing that the portion of the substance condensed into clusters is proportional to the logarithm of the average cluster size. It was found that in crystal fcc argon clusters, the radiation of neutral excimer molecules comes from the entire volume, while charged excimer complexes emit from the subsurface layer. The transition from icosahedral to fcc structures occurs at average cluster sizes of 1000–1800 atoms/cluster.
研究不足
The study is limited to argon nanoclusters and may not directly apply to clusters of other materials without further research. The method's accuracy depends on the correct accounting of the supersonic jet structure and its influence on spectrum characteristics.
