研究目的
To design and develop a single axis solar tracking system that continuously tracks the sun radiation to maximize the efficiency of solar incident radiation.
研究成果
The solar tracking system can gather about 17.72% extra power than a fixed panel structure, achieving more effectiveness through this tracking mechanism.
研究不足
The system's effectiveness is dependent on sunlight availability and may not perform optimally under cloudy conditions or during nighttime.
The experimental setup consists of two LDRs, 8052 microcontroller, DC motor, solar panel, and electronics circuits. The setup is kept in sunlight, and sensors (LDR) are aligned in a desired manner. When sunlight falls on a particular sensor, signals are sent to the microcontroller, which processes these signals and commands the DC motor to rotate the solar panel to remain perpendicular to the sun. Voltage readings at different times are noted and plotted.
