研究目的
To deduce geometrical number series as analytical tools to evaluate the stress impact on zinc-blende nanocrystals (NCs) and their response as a function of NC size, shape, and surface orientation.
研究成果
The analytical number series derived for zb-NCs as a function of size, shape, and surface faceting allow for major advancements in data interpretation and understanding of zb- and diamond-lattice based nanomaterials. These series can serve as a standard procedure for stress evaluation in solid state spectroscopy due to their deterministic nature, easy use, and general applicability.
研究不足
The study is limited to high symmetry zinc-blende NCs with low-index faceting. NCs with higher index faceting are beyond the scope of this work. The impact of material properties resulting from differences in the base cell is not considered unless data of zb-type NCs are directly compared with diamond-type NCs.
