研究目的
Comparing the enhancement of second harmonic signal at the steady-state obtained via linear and nonlinear Fano resonances.
研究成果
The study demonstrates that both linear and nonlinear Fano resonances can be used to control the steady-state second harmonic signal from plasmonic nanomaterials. Linear Fano resonances enhance the hot spot field intensity, leading to an enhanced nonlinear signal, while nonlinear Fano resonances enhance the nonlinear signal without altering the hot spot field intensity. The findings are supported by exact solutions of Maxwell equations and 3D FDTD simulations.
研究不足
The study is theoretical and relies on numerical simulations. Experimental validation is needed to confirm the findings. The enhancement factors may vary in real-world applications due to material imperfections and environmental factors.
