研究目的
To compare MultiColor fundus imaging (MC) and colour fundus photography (CFP) for the evaluation of epiretinal membrane (ERM).
研究成果
MC provides the ability to detect the presence of ERM more sensitively and to demarcate a more precise and even larger ERM area than CFP. MC imaging can be a more sensitive and accurate modality for early detection of ERM and measurement of ERM area.
研究不足
Retrospective nature, mostly patients with 'preretinal macular fibrosis', chromatic aberrations of MC images, different recording angles, effect of cataract, artefact images in pseudophakic patients, lack of intrareader reproducibility analysis.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Retrospective study comparing MC and CFP for ERM evaluation.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
192 eyes (181 patients) that underwent vitrectomy for ERM.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Spectralis optical coherence tomography for MC and AFC-210 digital camera for CFP.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Imaging performed 1 week before vitrectomy; two investigators independently determined delineability and ERM area.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Intergrader agreement rates, McNemar test, Wilcoxon rank-sum test, Bland–Altman plotting.
