To enhance the resolution of a video sequence or a single frame by processing an image or a set of images using fusion super-resolution techniques applied to a multicamera system.

The study presents a novel image enhancement super-resolution technique integrated with a multicamera system to take advantage from the spatial and temporal correlations between the recorded sequences. Three different methods have been proposed: temporal-spatial super-resolution, spatial-temporal super-resolution, and mixed super-resolution. The mixed super-resolution method with Full-Frame preprocessing outperforms the other methods.

The implementation in multicamera systems of super-resolution algorithms for real-time performance, the real-time self-reconfiguration of cameras in a camera array, the issue of super-resolution of color images, and the concept of learning-based super-resolution for multicamera applications are not fully addressed.
