    摘要: In this paper a new and robust algorithm is proposed to achieve high resolution for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging in the compressive sensing (CS) framework. Traditional CS based methods have to assume that unknown scatters exactly lie on the pre-divided grids, otherwise their reconstruction performance dropped significantly. So the basis shift algorithm is presented to provide performance improvement of the image reconstruction for off-grid target. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are investigated by the simulation results.

  • Fast Modeling Methods for Estimating Imaging Performance of Whole Body Screening

    摘要: Simulation of millimeter wave imaging system for whole body screening before a safety inspection manufactured is a challenging work. The conventional physical optics (PO) method is a proper high-frequency approximation method to solve the forward problem of imaging. In this letter, a modi?ed PO method is used to calculate not only metal scatterer but also non-metal dielectric medium. A ray tracing (RT) method and its modi?cation are proposed to further fast estimate the performance of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) imaging system. The radiation pattern of transmitter or receiver is taken into account, then the rough imaging performance of arbitrary MIMO system on arbitrary human posture can be acquired in seconds to make the system design ?exible and convenient. The image reconstruction of the proposed method for a human body model with dielectric skin medium and metal pistol has demonstrated the applicability to real-life applications.

  • Thickness Measurement and Three-Dimensional Structure Imaging of Oil Slick on Water by Optical Coherence Tomography

    摘要: Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT) with 1300 nm wavelength is employed to detect three-dimensional (3-D) volumetric structure, surficial characteristic and thickness of oil slicks on water surface. The results show that petroleum slick possesses bigger diffusion area but much thinner than diesel slick at the same volume on water. Through reconstructing the thickness of oil slick by single-pixel optical intensity of SD-OCT structure image, the axial depth accuracies of reconstructed dataset image with 2.2 μm in petroleum slick and 2.6 μm in diesel slick were obtained, respectively. To our knowledge, it is the first time to obtain 3-D structure and surficial characteristic of oil slick on water by using SD-OCT imaging, and employing single-pixel optical intensity for reconstructing the thickness of oil slick with higher accuracy.

  • The infrared moving target extraction and fast video reconstruction algorithm

    摘要: Due to the problems of targets submerged to the background, which could easily produce ghosts, and hard complete extraction of dim targets in the surveillance video, we propose the moving target extraction and fast video reconstruction algorithm in accord with visual principle. The sample selection strategy of VIBE algorithm is improved to alleviate the errors of pixel classification. The infrared imaging features are fused to suppress the artifact. A regional growth mechanism is established to extract and store moving targets and pure background regions, and according to the characteristics of video surveillance, it is the first to establish the mapping mechanism of target, background and video to propose the fast video reconstruction algorithm. The experiment shows that the algorithm can extract the moving target completely, establish the pure background in a variety of complex conditions, and greatly reduce the storage room of the surveillance video.

    摘要: Compressed sensing (CS) technique contributes to reduce the burden of storage and transmission for hyperspectral images (HSIs) which are large 3D data cubes. Previous CS methods usually adopt sensing matrixes whose column number is equal to the length of the signal to sample data. As the length of the signal increases, the sensing matrix can be very large, especially for high-dimensional hyperspectral data. To overcome the drawback, a new semi-tensor based CS (ST-CS) method is proposed to for HSIs. In the sampling model, we construct a semi-tensor sensing matrix whose column number is much smaller than the length of spectral pixel. Then, the semi-tensor product, which breaks the dimension matching condition for matrix multiplication, is applied to the data sampling. The lower-dimensional sensing matrixes can reduce the data storage in the onboard system. In the sparse coding and reconstruction model, the spatial correlation of spectral pixels is exploited by introducing a regularization. The regularization tries to push reconstructed neighboring pixels to be similar. As a consequence, some unsuccessfully reconstructed pixels may be corrected by the use of neighbor information. Furthermore, the spatial structure of the HSI can be better reconstructed. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

    摘要: With the spread of photogrammetry processes, photo-based 2D/3D reconstruction became general, in research as well as in the industry. Source images are taken using either a hand-held camera or an automated camera fixed to the carrier, a UAV, then they are matched during post-processing. The price of digital microbolometer-based high-resolution (1 megapixel) thermal cameras is currently very high, but these, compared to RGB cameras (16-20 megapixel), are still considered to have very low-resolution, in this way employing photogrammetry in this present case is not feasible. In the article, a novel method developed by us is introduced which by using a low thermal resolution camera (FLIR DUO R), based on which a 3D thermal image can be produced with the help of a camera capable of dual imaging (RGB and Thermal). The work is illustrated using measurements, and post-production was conducted using the MATLAB software. The process is adequate for producing 3D thermal images taken using UAV devices.

    摘要: The article studies the operating procedures of an X-ray microtomographic scanner and the module of reconstruction and analysis 3D-image of a test sample in particular. An algorithm for 3D-image reconstruction based on image shadow projections and mathematical methods of the processing are described. Chapter 1 describes the basic principles of X-ray tomography and general procedures of the device developed. Chapters 2 and 3 are devoted to the problem of resources saving by the system during the X-ray tomography procedure, which is achieved by preprocessing of the initial shadow projections. Preprocessing includes background noise removing from the images, which reduces the amount of shadow projections in general and increases the efficiency of the group shadow projections compression. In conclusion, the main applications of X-ray tomography are presented.

  • Study and characterization of morphogeometric parameters to assist diagnosis of keratoconus

    摘要: Background: In case of significant imperfections on the cornea, data acquisition is difficult and a significant level of missing data could require the interpolation of important areas of the cornea, resulting in a very ambiguous model. The development of methods to define in vivo customised geometric properties of the cornea based only on real raw data is extremely useful to diagnose and assess the progression of diseases directly related to the corneal architecture. The present work tries to improve the prognostic of corneal ectasia creating a 3D customised model of the cornea and analysing different geometric variables from this model to determine which variables or combination of them could be defined as an indicator of susceptibility to develop keratoconus. Methods: A corneal geometric reconstruction was performed using zonal functions and retrospective Scheimpflug tomography data from 187 eyes of 187 patients. Morphology of healthy and keratoconic corneas was characterized by means of geometric variables. The performance of these variables as predictors of a new geometric marker was assessed and their correlations were analysed. Results: The more representative variable to classify the corneal anomalies related to keratoconus was posterior apex deviation (area under receiver operating characteristic curve > 0.899; p < 0.0001). However, the strongest correlations in both healthy and pathological corneas were provided by the metrics directly related to the thickness, as deviations of the anterior/posterior minimum thickness points. Conclusions: The presented morphogeometric approach based on the analysis and custom geometric modelling of the cornea demonstrates to be useful for the characterization and diagnosis of keratoconus disease, stating that geometrical deformation is an effective marker of the ectatic disease’s progression.

  • Electron induced nanoscale engineering of rutile TiO <sub/>2</sub> surfaces

    摘要: Electron stimulated modifications of the rutile TiO2(110) surface have been investigated using scanning tunnelling microscopy tip pulses and electron beam irradiation. Tip pulses on the ‘as-prepared’ surface induce local surface reconstruction and removal of surface hydroxyls in a region around the reconstruction. A defocused beam from an electron gun as well as tip pulses have been used to generate a number of oxygen deficient surfaces. All tip pulse features display an oval profile, which can be attributed to the anisotropic conductivity of the TiO2(110) surface. A novel oxygen deficient phase with well-ordered defective ‘nano-cracks’ has been identified, which can be produced by either electron beam irradiation or low flash anneal temperatures (~570 K). Annealing such surfaces to moderate temperatures (~850 K) leads to mixed 1×1 and 1×2 surfaces, until now only achievable by annealing in oxygen or ageing by repeated sputter/anneal cycles. Heating to normal preparation temperatures (1000 K) reforms the clean, well-ordered 1×1 surface termination. Our results demonstrate the potential of electron induced processes to modify the oxygen composition and structure of the TiO2(110) surface in a controllable and reversible way for selective surface patterning and surface reactivity modification.
