  • Suppression of Iodide Ions Migration via Sb2S3 interfacial Modification for stable Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells

    摘要: In mixed halide perovskite, the halide phase segregation is commonly observed due to halide ions migration, which causes severe stability issues in perovskite devices. Here, we directly revealed the iodide-migration process via potentiostatic treatment in CsPbIBr2 perovskite. The absence of iodide ions was reduced significantly via Sb2S3 interfacial modification. We further employed the DFT calculation to optimize the geometry positions at the perovskite interface and radial distribution functions (RDF) to analyze the atom perturbation. The simulation yielded a slight distortion of perovskite lattice at the interface of Sb2S3-CsPbIBr2 and iodide ions fluctuation was reduced due to the decrease of halide vacancies. In addition, the thermally stimulated current was calculated to evaluate the defects density in the modified perovskite device. Due to the Sb2S3 interaction with perovskite, the device became stable against humidity and maintained photoactive over 400 h. The champion efficiency of 9.31% with 26.31% improvement was obtained in modified CsPbIBr2 perovskite solar cells.

  • Investigation on formation process of metal atomic filament for metal sulfide atomic switch by electrical measurement

    摘要: We have studied the formation process of the metal atomic filament for the metal sulfide atomic switches by the electrical measurement. The switching between ON and OFF states of the atomic switch is controlled by the application of the bias voltage for the atomic switches. The SET (OFF→ON) and RESET (ON→OFF) voltages were investigated for the atomic switch where the Ag2S or Cu2S layer was sandwiched between the Pt and Ag or Cu electrodes. The SET and RESET voltages of the Ag/Cu2S/Pt and Cu/Ag2S/Pt were close to those of the Ag/Ag2S/Pt atomic switch, and different from those of the Cu/Cu2S/Pt atomic switch. These results indicated that the dominant chemical species of the making and breaking part of the metal filament were Ag, and that the source of the metal filament was both the sulfide layer and the metal electrode.

  • [Methods in Molecular Biology] T-Cell Motility Volume 1930 (Methods and Protocols) || Live Cell Imaging and Analysis to Capture T-Cell Motility in Real-Time

    摘要: T-lymphocytes are the principle coordinators of the immune defense system and play a major role in the protection of our body against infections, intruders of non-self, and malignancies. To mount an immune response, T-cells need to be effectively employed to tissue sites of infection or in?ammation and establish contacts with antigen-presenting cells (APCs) or malignant cells. Understanding how T-cells navigate toward their recruitment sites would offer new therapeutic opportunities. Advancement in the hardware and software upgrades of microscopy technology has created several ef?cient and easy-to-operate live cell imaging platforms. In this protocol, we present a generalized and simple-to-follow protocol for live cell imaging of migrating T-cells, which can also be adopted to visualize real-time tracking of intracellular signaling events.

  • Therapeutic application of light emitting diode: Photo-oncomic approach

    摘要: As a new light source, light emitting diode (LED) with high brightness and lower cost has been rapidly developed in medical application and light therapy. LED phototherapy can activate target cells with appropriate power and adequate energy density. This review provides general information on therapeutic applications of blue, green, yellow, red, and infrared LED in medical treatments for various physical abnormalities and on bio-imaging. The bio-imaging system is improved by decreasing the number of microscopes apparatuses including neutral-density filter, excitation filters and mechanical shutters. The numbers of excitation photons are increased and the fluorescent excitation efficiency is improved at cellular level. In the target tissue, the therapeutic effect of LEDs is dependent on incident photons irrespective of the system used to generate these photons. Photomodulated light from LED device is delivered in pulsed mode with specific pulse sequences and time. Too low or too high dose of energy may be ineffective at all. Clinical applications of LED light depending on different wavelengths are summarized. The author’s photo-oncomic experiments using a specific blue light emitting diode were introduced, showing that blue LED possessed anti-proliferative and anti-metastatic abilities in cancer cells and mice. As a promising light source, photo-oncomic approach of blue LED could be applied to treat cancers and inflammatory diseases.

  • Fiber Bragg grating-based experimental and numerical investigations of CO <sub/>2</sub> migration front in saturated sandstone under subcritical and supercritical conditions

    摘要: Carbon dioxide (CO2) can be at risk of leakage during its storage in deep saline aquifers due to stress field changes in the reservoir. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of CO2 injection pressure on dynamic strain response of the reservoir and the CO2 migration process. A series of core flooding experiments was performed with the-state-of-art fiber Bragg grating sensors. The results show that the surface strain response was linearly correlated with CO2 injection pressure. Carbon dioxide migration velocity can be estimated from the strain response time differences among three gratings. The migration velocity of supercritical CO2 is higher than that of liquid CO2 but lower than gaseous CO2. Finally, numerical simulation was applied to model the CO2 migration process and the simulated values were compatible with those of experiments.

  • High-Performance Lignin-based Water-Soluble Macromolecular Photoinitiator for the Fabrication of Hybrid Hydrogel

    摘要: Developing low-migration macromolecular photoinitiators (macro PIs) is significant to achieve the sufficient biosafety of photopolymers. In this study, for the first time lignin was introduced into photoinitiating systems. A novel lignin-based water-soluble macro PI (L-PEG-2959) was designed and synthesized by introducing water-soluble PEG chain and photoinitiating moiety into lignin backbone simultaneously. A series of characterizations were performed, including 1H NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, GPC and TGA analysis, which indicated that L-PEG-2959 has excellent light absorption property within 200–400 nm, high initiating efficiency and superior water-solubility. Additionally, L-PEG-2959 could be compatible well with glycidyl methacrylate modified gelatin (Gel-GMA) and initiate the photopolymerization of Gel-GMA quickly under UV irradiation to form a chemical crosslinking hybrid hydrogel. Compared with the neat hydrogel made by Gel-GMA initiated with Irgacure2959, a commercial small molecular PI, the hybrid hydrogels presented controllable swelling property, increased mechanical strength, remarkably reduced precipitates and enhanced biosafety. The results indicated the great potential of lignin-based macro PIs in preparing biosafety photopolymers.

    摘要: As for the bistatic forward-looking synthetic aperture radar (BiForSAR) imaging, frequency-domain imaging algorithms integrated with autofocus is advisable to get a well focused BiForSAR image in the presence of uncompensated motion errors. Nevertheless, a severe drawback of the autofocus algorithms is that they are only capable of removing one-dimensional azimuth phase errors. In range direction, there exists nonsystematic range cell migration (NsRCM) originated from motion errors and RCM correction procedure in frequency domain imaging algorithms as well. In this paper, the causes of different NsRCM in BiForSAR imaging are analyzed, and the corresponding relationship between different NsRCM is deduced. Based on the analyses, we propose an autofocus NsRCM correction scheme for BiForSAR imagery using frequency domain imaging algorithms, being capable of eliminating the range-dependent NsRCM.

  • Phase field modeling of grain boundary migration and preferential grain growth driven by electric current stressing

    摘要: A phase field model incorporating the electrostatic free energy and the grain orientation effect is developed and employed to study the grain boundary migration and preferential grain growth in widely used beta-tin (β-Sn) under electric current stressing. The directional migration of grain boundaries and the preferential growth of the grain with its orientation having low electrical resistivity along the electric current direction are theoretically clarified. In a bicrystal system containing a circular grain, the shrinkage velocity and morphology changes of grains are dominated by the competition effect between the grain boundary energy and the electrostatic free energy; in particular, the high-density electric current can induce the instability of grain morphology evolution. Moreover, grain morphology evolution leads to the change of the voltage across the β-Sn system; it is found that the voltage decreases over time in a tricrystal system, while the variation of the voltage across the bicrystal system is related to the above-mentioned competition effect. The proposed model and results provide insights into the orientation-related microstructure evolution under electric current stressing.

  • Low Complexity Algorithm for Range-Point Migration-Based Human Body Imaging for Multistatic UWB Radars

    摘要: High-resolution, short-range sensors that can be applied in optically challenging environments (e.g., in the presence of clouds, fog, and/or dark smog) are in high demand for various applications. Ultrawideband radar is a promising sensor that is suitable for short-range surveillance or watching sensors. Range-point migration (RPM) has been recently established as a promising imaging approach to achieve accurate and real-time 3-D imaging. However, when objects with many scattering points are dealt with, such as a human body, RPM suffers from high computational costs. In this letter, we propose an algorithm with a lower complexity for an RPM-based 3-D imaging method by introducing a sampling-based scattering center extraction with a simpli?ed evaluation function, in which an ef?cient sample pattern is provided by a golden ratio. The results from a ?nite-difference time-domain-based numerical test, which introduces a realistic human body object, demonstrate that our proposed method remarkably reduces the computational cost without sacri?cing the reconstruction accuracy.

  • A Preferential Photoreaction in a Porous Crystal, Metal-Macrocycle Framework (MMF): Pd <sup>II</sup> -Mediated Olefin Migration over [2+2] Cycloaddition

    摘要: A nano-sized confined space with well-defined functional surfaces has great potential to control the efficiency and selectivity of catalytic reactions. Herein we report that a 1,6-diene, which normally forms an intramolecular [2+2] cycloadduct under photo-irradiation, preferentially undergoes a photo-induced olefin migration in a porous crystal, metal–macrocycle framework (MMF), and alternatively [2+2] cycloaddition is completely inhibited in the confined space. A plausible reaction mechanism for olefin migration triggered by the photo-induced dissociation of the Pd-Cl bond is suggested based on UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, single-crystal XRD, and MS-CASPT2 calculation. The substrate scope of the photo-induced olefin migration in MMF was also examined using substituted allylbenzene derivatives.
