  • High-selectivity bandpass filter using six pairs of quarter-wavelength coupled lines

    摘要: We present a 16-channel readout integrated circuit (ROIC) with nanosecond-resolution time to digital converter (TDC) for pixelated Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) gamma-ray detectors. The pixel array ROIC is the proof of concept of the pixel array readout ASIC for positron-emission tomography (PET) scanner, positron-emission mammography (PEM) scanner, and Compton gamma camera. The electronics of each individual pixel integrates an analog front-end with switchable gain, an analog to digital converter (ADC), configuration registers, and a 4-state digital controller. For every detected photon, the pixel electronics provides the energy deposited in the detector with 10-bit resolution, and a fast trigger signal for time stamp. The ASIC contains the 16-pixel matrix electronics, a digital controller, five global voltage references, a TDC, a temperature sensor, and a band-gap based current reference. The ASIC has been fabricated with TSMC m mixed-signal CMOS technology and occupies an area of mm. The TDC shows a resolution mm of 95.5 ps, a precision of 600 ps at full width half maximum W. In acquisition (FWHM), and a power consumption of mode, the total power consumption of every pixel is W. An equivalent noise charge (ENC) of at maximum gain and negative polarity conditions has been measured at room temperature.

    摘要: A highly linear broadband photonic-assisted analog-to-digital converter (ADC) based on high-frequency optical sampling utilizing a dual output Mach–Zehnder modulator operating with signal frequencies up to 50 GHz is presented. The pulses employed in the optical sampling were generated by a cavity-less pulse source operated at 10 GHz in preference to conventional mode-locked lasers. The optical sampling front-end greatly extends the operational frequency range of the Nyquist limited electronic digitization back-end. The performance of the sampling system is characterized with 7.1 effective number of bits (ENOBs) at 40 with 5 GHz fully accessible bandwidth, and greater than 99 dB·Hz2/3 spurious free dynamic range for the 30–40 GHz frequency range. Furthermore, more than 8 ENOB was achieved by reducing the effective bandwidth to 1 GHz with a digital ?lter, demonstrating the additional advantage of using a higher sampling rate compared to previous demonstrations. A new ?gure of merit of photonic-assisted sub-sampled ADCs is also presented accompanied with a comparison to previous implementations.

    摘要: This paper describes the implementation of a sampling wattmeter for the measurement of sinusoidal active and reactive power over the 50 Hz to 6 kHz frequency range, 20 V to 600 V voltage range, and 0.05 A to 80 A current range. The wattmeter is capable of measuring sinusoidal and distorted voltage and current signals with up to 100 harmonics of the fundamental frequency component. Details of the system design, measurement techniques, and signi?cant sources of error are presented.

    摘要: A study of DCV sampling mode Keysight 3458A digital multimeter (DMM) temperature coefficient is presented. For different DMMs, a set of digital measurements at different temperatures and aperture times has been performed, to establish DMMs gain variation with temperature. Results confirm the existence of two different temperature coefficients, for high-resolution and high-speed stages. While for the first one values in the range of 0.1 μV/VoC are obtained, for high speed stage values can be in the order of 10 μV/VoC, which should be taken into account for its compensation in high accuracy measurement.
